Zagorochoria is a group of 46 traditional villages in the mountainous region of Epirus, in northwestern Greece. The villages are situated at an altitude of 500 to 2,000 meters and are known for their unique architecture, cultural heritage, and natural beauty.



Some of the popular things to do in Zagorochoria include hiking the numerous trails that connect the villages, exploring the ancient stone bridges and monasteries, visiting the Vikos Gorge- one of the deepest canyons in the world, and trying the local cuisine which includes specialties like wild boar, cheese pie, and traditional pies made with homemade phyllo dough.
